ADL Connecticut and The Westport Library are pleased to invite the community to join "Together Against Hate: Helping Young People Confront Antisemitism, A Conversation with Bianna Golodryga"
Join news anchor and Emmy Award winning journalist Bianna Golodryga for a conversation about her book, Don't Feed the Lion, co-authored with Yonit Levi. The story follows 13-year-old Theo Kaplan as he confronts the fallout from a viral antisemitic post by his favorite soccer star and hateful graffiti scrawled on his own locker. Together, Theo and his family find the courage to stand up to prejudice.
Bianna Golodryga is an Emmy Award winning anchor, senior global affairs analyst, and co-author of the bestselling middle grade novel Don't Feed the Lion. A former political refugee from the Soviet Union and a mother, she brings deep personal and professional expertise to this powerful story about antisemitism and hate.
The conversation will be moderated by ADL Associate Regional Director Erika Brunwasser. A former school counselor and parent coach, Erika is also a Westport mother of two daughters.
The discussion will explore standing up to hate, antisemitism, allyship, and how to have age-appropriate conversations with children about these topics.
